Criminals take ARVs during Olifantsfontein clinic burglary

Burglars took several items, including four boxes of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs), when they pounced on the East Rand healthcare facility.

Police are investigating a burglary that took place in the early hours of yesterday morning on the East Rand in Gauteng.

The burglars broke into a clinic in Olifantsfontein.

According to information received, four boxes of antiretroviral drugs, seven TVs, seven computer monitors, three processors, four microwaves, four routers and a water dispenser are among the item stolen.

“Arrests to this incident are imminent,” says EMPD spokesperson Marie Mashishi.

She confirms a case of burglary was opened at the Olifantsfontein Police Station.
