Cyclist killed at intersection in Krugersdorp

Motorists can expect delays due to a partial road closure after a cyclist was fatally struck in Gauteng.

An elderly man died after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle at the intersection of Voortrekker Road and Paardekraal Drive today (May 27).

The Krugersdorp News is currently on scene, where motorists can expect delays due to a partial road closure.

According to tow truck responder Paul Viljoen, the crash occurred at about 14:00 when the cyclist was crossing the road and was struck by a vehicle.

Public Safety officials are regulating traffic at the intersection.
