Developer to upgrade Ballito’s bulk infrastructure
Arcis Property in partnership with the KwaDukuza Municipality must upgrade the M4, Douglas Crowe Drive, Ballito Business Park substation and bulk water supply.
Construction is underway on the new thoroughfare between Moffat Drive, the Ballito Village development and Douglas Crowe Drive.
The developer of a new residential estate adjoining the Ballito Business Park will upgrade the surrounding area.
Arcis Property in partnership with the KwaDukuza Municipality must upgrade the M4, Douglas Crowe Drive, Ballito Business Park substation and bulk water supply.
Part of the improvement to the M4 includes widening the northbound feeder lane into the business park at the first set of traffic lights.
This is intended to alleviate traffic flow issues at peak times, said Arcis development executive, Siebren du Plessis.

The new road and entrance to Ballito Village joining Moffat Drive and Douglas Crowe Drive, should also ease traffic between the business park and Ashton sports fields.
The contracts for both road upgrades have been awarded and are expected to be finished by early March next year, said Du Plessis.
The Ballito Business Park substation and switchroom will also be improved.
“We are not adding extra capacity to the substation, rather increasing the bandwidth. This will cater for Ballito Village and the businesses that draw from the substation.”
Arcis is also discussing with Siza Water plans to upgrade aspects of the Ballito water supply.
