Eskom provides weekend load-shedding changes
Various stages of power cuts can be expected over the next few days.
Power utility Eskom has announced changes to the load-shedding schedule for this weekend.
Stage 1 load-shedding was implemented from this morning at 05:00 until 16:00, followed by Stage 3 from 16:00 until midnight, thereafter, load-shedding will be suspended from midnight until 05:00 tomorrow.
This pattern will be repeated tomorrow until midnight.
According to the power utility breakdowns, the generating capacity has been reduced to 14 675MW, while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance has slightly increased to 3 908MW.
Weekend load-shedding:
Today:
- Suspended: 00h00 to 05h00
- Stage 1: 05h00 to 16h00
- Stage 3: 16h00 to 00h00
Sunday
- Suspended: 00h00 to 05h00
- Stage 1: 05h00 to 16h00
- Stage 3: 16h00 to 00h00
Monday
- Suspended: 00h00 to 16h00
- Stage 3: 16h00 to 00h00
Eskom will publish another update if any significant changes occur.
