Eskom releases weekend load-shedding schedule
The current load-shedding schedule pattern will be repeated tomorrow and Saturday.
Daytime load-shedding is on the cards for the next couple of days with Eskom saying there is a slight increase in breakdowns.
Load-shedding is expected to be suspended during the day on Sunday with stage 3 coming in to effect at 16:00.
Breakdowns currently amount to 15 100MW of generating capacity loss, while 5 252MW is offline due to planned maintenance.
Here is the schedule:
Today:
• Currently stage 1 until 16:00.
• Stage 3 from 16:00 until midnight.
Tomorrow:
• Stage 1 from 05:00 until 16:00.
• Stage 3 from 16:00 until midnight.
Saturday:
• Stage 1 from 05:00 until 16:00.
• Stage 3 from 16:00 until midnight.
Sunday:
• Stage 3 from 16:00 until midnight.
