Foreign national killed in KZN drive-by shooting

A man was shot and killed, his wife wounded, and their baby girl left unharmed after a shooting incident in KwaDukuza.

A 28-year-old man, believed to be a foreign national, was shot and killed while travelling with his family in King Shaka Street of KwaDukuza on the KZN North Coast.

The shooting occurred yesterday afternoon, and according to reports, another vehicle pulled up beside their car and the occupants unleashed a hail of bullets.

KwaDukuza police spokesperson Constable Siphesihle Mnyeni confirmed that a murder case has been opened.

IPPS Medical Rescue’s Samantha Meyrick reported that after the shooting, the victim’s vehicle collided into parked vehicles on the opposite side of the road.

The husband was declared dead at the scene. His wife sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was stabilised before being rushed to hospital, but their baby girl was unharmed.
