Former South Coast medical students create free educational channel for high school pupils

Ashraf and Waheed created this free and unique educational channel to mitigate any possible hindrances to the progression of high school curricula caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.

Former Scottburgh High pupil and second-year medical student at the University of Cape Town, Ashraf Moosa, and Creston College’s Waheed Amanjee (first-year medical student) are the co-founders of the WiZedu organisation.

Ashraf and Waheed created this free and unique educational channel to mitigate any possible hindrances to the progression of high school curricula caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.

“We have currently released numerous videos on trigonometry which are applicable to Grades 10-12 and are also working on the release of calculus videos,” said Ashraf.

“Additionally, WiZedu releases daily challenges which are unique and cover all aspects of mathematics so as to ensure learners do not forget the work they have already learnt.”

The organisation plans to expand its content to subjects such as physical sciences, life sciences, history, accounting and geography.
