Join boxing icon Kallie Knoetze on the green for charity
Tee off for a good cause! A former South African boxing legend is pulling no punches in raising funds for young people in need in SA.
Golf enthusiasts and supporters are invited to tee off at the Kallie Knoetze Benefit Golf Day on December 5 at Silver Lakes Golf & Wildlife Estate, hosted by the South African Hall of Fame.
Knoetze is a former South African heavyweight boxer known for his powerful punches and fearless style in the ring.
“I grew up in a household where my dad used to wake me up to watch boxing matches. Kallie Knoetze was and still is a household name in South Africa,” says Irma Green, group editor of Caxton Local Media.
“In his heyday, Kallie had no filter when speaking, which earned him the nickname ‘Die Bek’.
“Caxton Local Media is a proud partner of the South African Hall of Fame initiative, and the golf day is an ideal opportunity to get up close and personal with this legend,” says Green.
Through fundraising initiatives such as the Kallie Knoetze Benefit Golf Day, the South African Hall of Fame supports and uplifts children lacking resources, focusing on education, sports, and the arts.
