KwaDukuza Rottweiler attack: Grandmother, grandchild in critical condition
A woman and her grandchild are fighting for their lives, merely days after a two-year-old boy was killed by a dog in Esenembe, Upper Tongaat.
A 67-year-old woman and her three-year-old grandchild were rushed to hospital in critical condition after being attacked by a Rottweiler.
The incident occurred on Ebrahim Drive in KwaDukuza on Wednesday.
Kelsey-Jae Meyrick from IPSS Medical Rescue reported that both patients were stabilised and transported to a nearby hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.
This tragic event follows another incident, earlier in the week, where a two-year-old boy was killed by a dog in Esenembe, Upper Tongaat, on Monday.
This incident occurred while the toddler was playing with friends at his home.
Tongaat police spokesperson Captain Jasanathan Naidoo previously said the boy sustained severe head and body injuries during the attack.
