Large puff adder caught at Cato Ridge factory

The large, male puff adder was found hiding behind a bin in a room of the factory.

Ethekwini snake catcher, Nick Evans was called out to a factory in Cato Ridge to rescue a puff adder on Saturday, Highway Mail reports.

According to Evans, the snake was in a room in the factory and said the workers called him out to collect the snakes as they enjoyed watching him catch the snakes.

“I’ve been out there a few times, including a 2am python call,” said Evans.

“I appreciate them calling, as I think snakes used to be killed on site”

He said their identification of the snake was correct and it had been hiding behind a bin.

“It was awesome to see this beautiful, large male Puff Adder,” he said.
