Polokwane’s Seshego police detectives have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with a murder that occurred in Sengatane village on Saturday at 16:00.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says reports suggest the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with a sharp instrument in his lower body. The victim was walking with his girlfriend at the time. The suspect then fled.

The victim’s girlfriend went to the family and told them about the stabbing, and he was rushed to a local clinic. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have opened a case of murder.

The suspect was due to appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
