Man found hanging from a bridge in Pretoria
The north lane of the N1 was closed for hours.
The body of a man was found hanging from a highway bridge in the north of Pretoria on Tuesday morning.
The body was found hanging just under the bridge after Petroport towards Hammanskraal.
“Our crews responded to the incident just before 08:00 and found a 30-year-old man hanging from the bridge. He was declared dead by paramedics on the scene,” said Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso.
He said police and medics were on the scene when the fire department arrived.
“We activated our crews to help with the recovery of the body once the police had finished with photographing and crime scene data collection.”
The north lane of the N1 was closed.
