Man shot dead at stop-and-go outside Empangeni

A man was shot in the head and body when gunmen opened fire near the Maguzulu intersection.

A man was shot and killed near the Maguzulu intersection on the R34 Nkwaleni road outside Empangeni yesterday afternoon.

According to Zululand Observer, reports indicate that the deceased was waiting at a stop-and-go when two gunmen opened fire on him. He was shot in the head and body.

Police were on scene and the victim has not been identified.

Traffic flow was severely affected during peak hour before the scene was subsequently cleared.
