Man stabbed to death in Western Cape

Police are investigating the murder of a man who was stabbed multiple times after an alleged argument at a Wilderness hangout.

A man was stabbed to death in Hoekwil in Wilderness in the Western Cape on Friday night.

According to a provincial police media liaison officer, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, George police registered a murder case following a stabbing incident in Geelhout Lane in Hoekwil.

“A 30-year-old male was fatally stabbed.

“Police members responded to a complaint of a person who was stabbed and taken to the local hospital. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his body and was declared deceased at the hospital,” says Twigg.

Information received by George Herald suggests that the victim and another man were allegedly involved in a fight at a local hangout in Wilderness earlier that night.

The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. The suspect is yet to be arrested.
