Massive waves expected between Port Edward and Richards Bay

Disruptions to harbours and ports are anticipated, and navigation may become difficult, with vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing.

This could cause damage to coastal infrastructure.

Small to medium boats are advised to stay away from the open sea and seek the shelter of a harbour.

People are advised to avoid going to the beach and to be aware of strong rip currents, especially during riptides.
