Matrics of 2023: Register now to access your results easily!
It’s almost time for the matric results to be released. Here’s an easy way to get yours.

The wait for your matric marks might feel endless, but there is a simple way for you to access them as soon as they are made public – remember though, that you must register for this service.
Caxton Local Media advises the Class of 2023 that registration opened on December 18 and that at 06:00 on January 19, the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination results will be made available.
You can access your results online or collect them from your school. In the Western Cape, learners will be able to access their results from 11:00 on the same day.
Here’s how to get your results ASAP
Before you get started, note that you may submit your exam number via one cellphone number only to receive your results via this service, as per the Department of Education’s guidelines. This service only applies to the Department of Education’s NSC examinations, and not to Independent Examinations Board exams.

1. Get your exam number and cellphone!
You need your exam number to gain access to your matric results.
2. SMS or use the USSD code
Register by SMSing your exam number to 35658, after which you will receive reminders and USSD instructions to follow to gain access to your results after 06:00 (or 11:00 for students in the Western Cape) on January 19.
*SMSes are charged at R1.50 each. Free SMSes do not apply.
Alternatively, dial the USSD code *120*35658#. You will then receive further instructions to gain access to your results after 06:00 (or 11:00 for students in the Western Cape) on Friday, January 19.
*USSD charged at 50c per 20 seconds. Free minutes do not apply.
(*People who submit their personal information via the delivery methods mentioned above give consent for their personal information to be processed to communicate their examination results. Any person who communicates personal information as per these clauses guarantees that they are legally authorised to do so.)

These results are preliminary and, therefore, in the case of omissions, candidates must contact the school, district or provincial education department.
