Meta issues? Some SA users among millions affected
Social users across the country have reported troubles accessing Facebook, Instagram and Threads.
Have you been logged out of your Facebook account, or unable to do something on a Meta-related app? You are not alone.
Millions of users across the world have taken to Downdetector to report that they have issues with the company’s social media platforms.
The user reports website’s South African domain states that by 17:35, just over 10 000 users in the country reported issues with Facebook.
In addition, 1 495 reports of issues with Instagram were noted by 17:38.
Meta spokesperson Andy Stone took to X to post that they are aware of users being unable to access the platforms.
WhatsApp seems not be affected.
