Missing Krugersdorp teen: Extensive air and sea searches underway in Mozambique
Search teams continue extensive operations in Mozambique to locate Rikus Kylander, with aerial and boat searches underway.
Search-and-rescue teams have intensified efforts to locate Krugersdorp teenager Rikus Kylander who went missing following a snorkelling trip in Mozambique.
Krugersdorp News reports that Renegades Search and Rescue spokesperson Dawn Gounden earlier today said teams continue to search extensively across Ponta do Ouro and surrounding areas, including sections near the South African border.
“An aerial search was conducted across multiple areas, with operations now extending to Santa Maria. In addition, boats are searching throughout the day, conducting zigzag sweeps from Kosi Bay to Dobela,” she said.
Joint operations in progress
Gounden added that joint search operations have been planned and are currently underway.
“We respectfully appeal to members of the public to remain vigilant and to report any information that may assist ongoing efforts.”
