Missing wild Kaapschehoop horses found

A herd of seven missing wild horses were found by a conservancy in Mpumalanga after a widespread search.

The Kaapschehoop Conservancy found a herd of wild horses that had been missing yesterday.

The herd, which includes a new foal, had been missing since March, reports Lowvelder.

The conservancy said the seven horses had moved far from their usual grazing area, prompting an intense search. The organisation also reported that a new foal has joined the herd.

Prior to locating the horses, the conservancy had issued an appeal to the public for assistance. The herd consists of a stallion, three mares, two fillies and a colt.

A R5 000 reward had also been offered for information about their whereabouts. The organisation thanked the community for its assistance.

The public is urged not to interact with, touch or feed the horses.
