Mother who ‘pimped’ daughters in Amanzimtoti back in court
A Heidelberg attorney is facing 27 charges of buying a 13-year-old girl and turning her into a sex slave.
The mother who is accused of pimping her young daughters to clients in Amanzimtoti, Ramsgate and other parts of the country is back in court where it was revealed that her children never went to school. Their births were also apparently never registered with the Department of Home Affairs.
The Boksburg Advertiser reported that at her last appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on November 11, the court heard that the 38-year-old mother was a sex worker herself, plying her trade in Brakpan.
She allegedly then pimped her then 11- and 13-year-old girls as well. The mother’s identity has not been revealed to protect her children.
The youngest told a social worker with the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Investigations Unit that her mother had sold her to clients in Amanzimtoti. The mother’s Facebook page indicates that she moved to Amanzimtoti in August 2022.
A 35-year-old lawyer from Heidelberg is facing 27 charges alongside the mother and is accused of buying the 13-year-old (now 15) from her mother and turning her into a sex slave. They were both arrested in April 2023. The mother is facing 72 charges which include rape, sexual abuse of a minor, and child trafficking.
The 15-year-old is now homeschooled while the 13-year-old has finally been enrolled in school after considerable challenges.
The younger child has finished Grade 2 and her older sister has completed Grade 4.
