Motorcyclist hijacked outside Brakpan home

A Gauteng man was ambushed by three attackers who pinned him against a wall and hit him on the head with a firearm before fleeing with his motorcycle.

A motorcyclist was assaulted and robbed by three men outside his Abercorn Avenue residence on Friday (June 19), reports Brakpan Herald.

According to police information, the rider of a white Big Boy motorcycle arrived home at about 21:30 and parked next to the gate.

As he was about to open the gate, he was confronted by three men.

One of the men hit the victim on the head with a firearm, while another pinned him against a wall.

The third started the motorcycle and rode away. The two remaining attackers fled the scene after noticing the victim was bleeding.

The stolen motorcycle is valued at R20 000.

Brakpan SAPS have opened a hijacking case, and investigations are ongoing.
