Mpumalanga man in court for murder

When police arrived on the scene, they reportedly found the man covered in blood stains.

A suspect linked to a fatal stabbing incident in Mpumalanga on Saturday was arrested and appeared in court on Monday.

According to a media statement issued by the SAPS, Carlos Nyasheko (49) was arrested in Middleburg at around 18:25 through community assistance.

It is reported that members on duty that evening were called out to attend a murder incident and upon arrival, they found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

The suspect was reportedly covered in blood stains while a knife that can potentially be linked to the crime was found at the crime scene.

The suspect was arrested and subsequently charged with murder when he in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court.

The case was postponed to June 6 for a formal bail application and Nyasheko remains in custody.
