Mpumalanga MEC of Education, Sibusiso Malaza gives tips to matriculants on attaining 80 percent pass rate
Read and jot down main points, revise notes underline key words or write short summaries/ notes, recite and create codes from the letters of key words;
The MEC of education, Mr Sibusiso Malaza says the province is targeting an 80 percent pass rate this year, Mpumalanga News reports.
Speaking during a media briefing at the Promenade Hotel on Monday morning, Malaza outlined the following tips to help learners with their exam preparations:
* Draw a revision time table and try to follow it;
* Ensure that all material needed are available;
* Join study groups and allow space for individual studying;
* Break revision time into chunks (study and break);
* Decide when you work best and ensure adequate space and enough light;
* Use energizers for relaxation like physical exercise, deep breathing, dancing and singing;
* Get sleep, discourage cramming of work and
* Expose yourself to 30 minutes of sunlight everyday.
