National roads closed due to protests
The entire N3 Toll Route (both south- and northbound) from Harrismith in the Free State to Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal is blocked and inaccessible to traffic.
This morning (July 12), the R103 going towards Peacetown and Roosboom is currently closed near the RTI premises due to the violent Free Zuma protests that have erupted.
The R616 (Acton Homes to Bergville town) and N11 to Driefontein are likewise closed, as well as the Ezakheni / Pieters intersection.
The entire N3 Toll Route (both south- and northbound) from Harrismith in the Free State to Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal is blocked and inaccessible to traffic.
People are advised to stay at home and take precautions, as this protest action has turned violent.
All roads leading into and out of Ladysmith are blocked.
Business owners are urged to be vigilant, as it could be unsafe to open your doors.
