Nine die in horror head-on-crash in Limpopo

Nine people are dead and six others injured after two vehicles collided head-on along the Deerpark road in Bolobedu on Wednesday.
The incident happened at Nwanetsi bridge next to Kubjwana village and involved a taxi and a bakkie.
The spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matomi Moremi-Taueatsoala, said nine people died on impact while a further six escaped with injuries.
“The deceased include the driver of the bakkie and eight passengers from the taxi. Five of the injured patients were transported to the Vanvelden Hospital for medical treatment,” he explained.
MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has sent messages of condolences to the families of nine deceased. She further called on motorists to be cautious and reduce speed.
