No arrests after Witbank murder

A case of murder has been opened after a man was stabbed to death in Santa Village, Ackerville, in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

It was alleged that on Sunday at about 6.30am, the unidentified man was on his way towards Santa Village, coming from the railway line, Witbank News reported.

The unknown suspects allegedly stabbed him in the chest with a knife and robbed him, police said.

Unconfirmed reports claimed all items in the deceased’s pockets were taken.

Investigations are ongoing.

In a separate incident, a case of murder was opened after a 23-year-old man was found stabbed to death in Bluff, KwaZulu-Natal, last Wednesday.

The man was found by a passerby with multiple stab wounds to his body, police said.

It is believed the deceased succumbed to his injuries and died the moment an ambulance arrived, police added.

The passerby allegedly contacted police immediately upon discovering the body.
