No Gautrain service will be available this weekend
Maintenance work is to be carried out.
The Gautrain train service will not be operating this weekend (August 4 and 5) due to daytime maintenance, Kempton Express reports.
Daytime maintenance works are required and were scheduled to be conducted towards the latter part of the year. Not to again inconvenience passengers later in the year, and in the light of the current reduced service due to the strike, Gautrain has decided to bring this work forward. Works that will be carried out will include track and other auxiliary maintenance.
During this time, a substitute bus service will be provided for passengers who have no alternative means of transportation.
