Police confirm Audi R8 driver is from the Western Cape
After the driver of an Audi R8 was shot at, he drove to a nearby clinic to have his wounds treated.
According to media reports, it is believed the victim of the shooting incident was a suspected gang boss from Cape Town, the Sandton Chronicle reports.
His name will be withheld for now, however, as Sandton police have not confirmed the identity of the victim of the shooting at this time.
According to Captain Mavela Masondo, provincial police spokesperson, police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
“We are investigating a case of attempted murder. The victim is in a serious but stable condition, and we couldn’t obtain a statement from him yet.
“We can confirm that the victim is from the Western Cape.”
