Port Shepstone businessman in court for alleged sexual assault on granddaughter

The man allegedly touched his seven-year-old granddaughter inappropriately while the child was visiting from Durban.

A businessman from Port Shepstone, in KwaZulu-Natal, has been recently arrested following allegations that he had touched his seven-year-old granddaughter inappropriately while the child was visiting from Durban.

A sexual assault case was opened, and the man, 65, appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrates’ Court. He was released on bail, the South Coast Herald reported.

Investigations by the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit are continuing.
