Search continues for woman who fell off KZN cliff
Authorities are still searching for a woman who slipped and fell off a cliff yesterday.
The search for a woman who fell off from a lookout point on the edge of a cliff in Uvongo, KZN, has been underway since yesterday.
According to an article published by South Coast Herald, eyewitnesses said a group of people were sitting at the lookout point on the cliff.
It is believed that the woman then slipped and fell down the cliff into the water, which was rough.
Darius Heenen from Wolf Security says a volunteer from Tidy Towns alerted authorities and SAPS Search and Rescue, Wolf Security, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) and paramedics responded.
Heenen says they searched for one and a half hours yesterday afternoon, with the NSRI also flying its drone in the area.
“I was back on the beach at 07:00 this morning to continue with the search. I flew my drone over the falls and the surrounding areas but nothing has been seen so far,” he says.
South Coast Herald is awaiting information from SAPS.
