#ShareASmile and win! Join the Casual Day 2023 Caxton Photo Competition

Cheeky grins, mischievous smiles, or funny photos that make others laugh out loud, Casual Day 2023 is all about spreading happiness.

What’s the best fashion accessory ever? Your smile, of course!

Show yours off in this year’s National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities’ (NCPD) 2023 Casual Day Photo Competition, which is proudly supported by Caxton Local Media and Brand South Africa.

Showcase your unique interpretation of this year’s heart-warming Casual Day theme, #ShareASmile. Whether you decide to dress up or dress down, enhance your smile, or inspire smiles in others, it’s time to get creative and let your happiness shine! Remember to proudly wear your merchandise or display your Casual Day Stickers, be they digital or physical, and share your fantastic photos on social media to enter the competition.

Casual Day is the NCPD’s annual fundraising campaign, which also provides a platform for the nation to show its support for people with disabilities.

Already launched, the campaign runs until September 1, which is Casual Day.

“We can’t wait to see the wonderful moments you capture. Our judges will be looking for images that exude bubbly positivity, unity, and genuine joy. So, let your inner happiness shine through and spread those contagious smiles,” says NCPD national director Therina Wentzel.

How to enter

The competition features five categories, giving everyone a chance to participate and win:

  1. Best group photo
  2. Best selfie/individual
  3. Best child
  4. Best kids/school group
  5. Best pet

“Remember, it’s not about pricey outfits this year; it’s about celebrating creativity, fun, and, most importantly, genuine smiles. Let your personality shine through and join us in supporting Persons with Disabilities,” says Wentzel.

For your entry to be considered for prizes, a Casual Day sticker or merchandise must be visible in your photo. Whether you print out digital stickers or display them on screen, ensure that the name on your personalised digital sticker is clear and visible.

Submit your photos via the Casual Day social media channels:

Or post them using the hashtags: #CasualDay #ShareASmile #CasualDay2023 #CaxtonCares

Stickers are available from participating NPOs, schools, organisations and the following outlets: Clicks, Jet, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, JAM Clothing, AlphaPharm, The HUB, loot.co.za, BKB, Finbond and Eskort Stores nationwide. Get your digital stickers online at www.casualday.co.za

“Join us in making Casual Day 2023 a memorable celebration of inclusion, diversity, and boundless smiles. We can’t wait to see your entries and spread the joy together!” says Irma Green, Caxton local newspapers’ group editor.

Remember, your smile is the most beautiful thing you can wear – so, let’s share it with the world on Casual Day!
