Shoba found guilty of murdering pregnant girlfriend in Roodepoort

Shoba, who faced charges of conspiring to murder as well as obstructing the administration of justice, was acquitted on the latter charge.

Emotional scenes played out as a judge of the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg gave judgement, finding Nthuthuko Shoba guilty of conspiring to murder his girlfriend, Tshegofatso Pule, in June 2020.

Acting Judge Stuart Wilson said he was satisfied with the evidence brought before court, which linked convicted killer Muzikayise Malephane and Shoba.

Pule (28) was found hanging from a tree in Durban Deep, Roodepoort on June 4, 2020. Shoba denied being involved in her murder.

There were mixed emotions from the family and the public outside the court after the judgment was delivered. The matter will be back in court on May 10 for sentencing and Shoba will remain in custody.
