Shooting leaves popular actress seriously injured
A popular local actress, whose identity is still to be revealed sustained serious injuries after several gunmen entered her premises.
Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Chris Botha said on the morning of 21 June they responded to a smallholding in the Randburg area, reports the Randburg Sun.
“Reports from the scene indicate that several gunmen had entered the premises of a popular actress,” said Botha.
He said shots were fired and the actress sustained two gunshot wounds. “Exact details of the incident and preceding events will, however, remain a subject for police comment.”
Botha explained that Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedics, along with the actress’ team, arrived at the scene and found her to be in a serious but stable condition.
“The patient was treated at the scene and then transported to a specialised hospital under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic.”
Captain Makgowanyana Maja of the Randburg Police Station said he was aware of the incident but could not confirm any details.
