Stage 2 load-shedding implemented
This comes after a request to the public to reduce electricity usage earlier today due to the power generating system being severely constrained.

Eskom has announced that it will implement stage 2 load-shedding with immediate effect (Monday evening).
“Unit 5 of Medupi Power Station has just tripped, taking some 700MW capacity with. Regretfully, Stage 2 loadshedding has been implemented immediately. A full statement will be published in due course,” the power utility said.
