Stolen cattle found slaughtered in Mpumalanga
Livestock owners find the carcasses of their stolen cows and sheep in eMbalenhle and Standerton.
A shocking scene awaited small scale farmers from eMbalenhle yesterday, reports Ridge Times.
They found the carcasses of about a dozen of their cattle at an unused kraal on a farm near the demolished Sasol mining shaft in extension 22, eMbalenhle.
A person who went to pray near the farm, saw the remains and alerted the local farmers.
They reported the matter to the eMbalenhle police. Currently, they are still waiting for police to arrive.
In a separate incident, Kasselman Security Services in Standerton reported the theft and slaughter of 26 sheep along the Tweedronk Road at the Morgenzon/Bethal crossing on Friday.
The sheep were allegedly taken from a farm and slaughtered at the same spot as previous incidents.
