Taxis block Go George bus depot in Western Cape

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The Go George hub, in Cradock Street in the CBD, is currently being blocked off by taxis, George Herald reports.

This comes after two taxis were allegedly impounded by the Ghost Squad on Wednesday morning.

According to unconfirmed reports, one taxi was impounded in Knysna Road and the other in Nelson Mandela Boulevard.

Police and traffic officials are on the scene.  No buses are able to exit or enter the hub.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area as a section of Cradock and Mitchell Street, between Market and Hibernia Street, is currently closed.
