Two arrested after discovery of Gauteng man’s naked body

Two men have been arrested in Bronkhorstspruit after the naked body of a 47-year-old man was found in his home in the Bredell area of Kempton Park on Gauteng’s East Rand.

The men, both in their 30s, were arrested on Friday night after they were spotted driving the deceased man’s car, Kempton Express reported.

Police spokesperson Captain Jethro Mtshali said officers had found the victim’s clothing, cellphone, laptop and wallet in the suspects’ possession.

According to Mtshali, the victim was found in his bedroom with bruises on his genitals. It was also believed the victim had been strangled as there had been scars around his neck.

The two suspects will appear in Bronkhorstspruit Magistrates’ Court soon for possession of the stolen vehicle and in Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court for murder and housebreaking.

In a separate incident, two suspects were arrested for murder after the body of 65-year-old Mbuyane Masengemu was found in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, last year.

Masengema went missing after attending a funeral in Newcastle and was found with a gunshot wound to his head.

His firearm was found in the possession of the two suspects, who later appeared in Bergville Magistrates’ Court.
