Gunmen pose as passengers: 2 women killed in Harare-bound bus

While one gunman ordered the driver to stop, two other shot three women who were on the bus.

Three armed men, posing as passengers on a bus that left Pretoria for Zimbabwe early this morning, shot and killed two women, injured another and robbed the remaining passengers of their belongings.

Limpopo SAPS spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, says three suspects pretending to be passengers, boarded a Copperbelt Bus Company bus destined for Harare, Zimbabwe in Bosman in Pretoria this morning. The bus left Pretoria just after 01:00.

Just after the Mantsole weigh bridge on the N1, about 30km outside Bela-Bela, one of the suspects took out a firearm and fired a shot through the windscreen of the bus, forcing the driver to pull over.
