Video: Fatal crash claims 1 life, injures 3 in Mpumalanga

Traffic was affected yesterday after a light delivery vehicle and a mini-truck collided head-on near Machadodorp.

Traffic was backed up for kilometres following a fatal crash that left one dead and three others injured following a head-on collision on the N4 near Machadodorp in Mpumalanga.

Lowvelder reports that the accident involved a light delivery vehicle (LDV) and a mini-truck yesterday afternoon.

Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi said the driver of the LDV died in the crash.

Mmusi added that all three injured people were rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Two of the injured were passengers in the LDV, while the third was a passenger in the mini-truck.

In an update on their Facebook page, Lowvelder confirmed the accident scene was cleared later in the evening.
