VIDEO: Man flung from bakkie in Joburg crash

CCTV footage has emerged showing a bakkie driver being flung out of his car after his vehicle collided with a taxi at an intersection along Ontdekkers and Gordon Roads in Florida, west of Johannesburg.

In the footage captured yesterday, the bakkie is seen turning to right hand-side while the traffic light is orange. Soon after the bakkie turns, a taxi slams into it and the driver of the bakkie is flung out of the car, Roodepoort Record reported.

The footage, uploaded onto YouTube by Alex Williamson, shows the BMW appear from the extreme left lane, clipping the front of a silver Kia Picanto as it makes its way across the highway, close to the Langa off-ramp.

The BMW then slams into the concrete barrier in the middle of the highway, sending what looks to be the driver into the air.

The deceased was identified as actor Thabang Sidloyi.
