Video: Survivors speak out 7 months after George building disaster

Seven months after the lethal building disaster on May 6 in George that killed 34 people and left 28 injured, the mental scars are almost as bad as the physical ones.

It took a week for rescue workers to extract all the living and the dead from the rubble after a four-story building under construction in the heart of George, collapsed in May this year.

Ilse Schoonraad and Cameron Squire of Group Editors visited construction workers who were left severely injured and traumatised, as well as bereaved family members, at their homes in George.
