Voëlklip cliff tragedy: Body washes up in Herold’s Bay
A search and rescue team comprising various units commenced their operation shortly after a car went over a cliff on the notorious road.
The body of a 33-year-old man washed up near the tidal pool in Herold’s Bay at approximately 15:00 yesterday afternoon.
It is believed the body is that of the man who went over a cliff on the notorious Voëlklip road on Wednesday night.
Over the years, several tragic incidents have been reported on this stretch of road on the Garden Route.
The identity of the latest victim cannot be revealed until he has been identified by his next of kin.

A search and rescue team consisting of police, EMS Search and Rescue, George Municipality Fire Department, the National Sea Rescue Institute, pathology services, Wilderness Search and Rescue and police divers had been hard at work since the incident took place on Wednesday.
Details of the incident are not yet known, but will be revealed by ongoing investigations.
