Watch: Centurion couple robbed at gunpoint

Video footage shows how the couple is approached by armed men shortly after they stopped at a complex.

A brazen armed robbery was captured on security cameras. It is alleged that the incident occurred in Centurion, Pretoria on Tuesday night.

CCTV footage shared on Twitter shows the victims in a white Mercedes, driving into what appears to be the entrance of a complex and stopping at the gate.

Seven seconds after they had stopped, a white Audi came from behind, and three armed suspects approached them. The victims cooperated with the suspects and never attempted to fight as the robbery proceeded.

The robbery lasted over 24 seconds. It appears as if the suspects were looking for phones and money before they drove away, leaving the suspects unharmed.

According to Twitter user Denga Shonisani, the incident apparently occurred in Centurion.

Police could not yet confirm or provide more information about the robbery.
