WATCH: Frolicking hippo defies lockdown travel ban

A hippo from the Kosi Bay lakes made its way to the beaches of Ponta do Ouro

Taking advantage of the empty beaches and wide open seas, a hippo was yesterday (Thursday) seen frolicking in the swells off Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique.

According to Ponta do Ouro Travel Info, who posted the video on their Facebook page, the hippo would have been a cross-border visitor from the Kosi Bay lakes – defying the international travel ban.

In Ponta’s clear water, the hippo is seen having the time of its life.
