Woman, 84, attacked and raped at her farm

He threatened to kill her if she screamed for help, and then proceeded to rape her, before demanding money.

Dannhauser police in KwaZulu-Natal are searching for the suspect who reportedly raped a 84-year-old woman at Annieville Farm.

According to police reports, the victim was asleep in her house when the suspect entered her place of residence at about 9pm on February 11, Newcastle Advertiser reported.

“He threatened to kill her if she screamed for help, and then proceeded to rape her, before demanding money.”

The victim allegedly told the man she did not have any money.

He then demanded to know the whereabouts of her grandson, and she told him she did not know where he was.  The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim called her neighbours for help and was taken to the local clinic before being transferred to Madadeni Crisis Centre.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dannhauser SAPS on 034-621-6509.
