Woman arrested with 46 Sassa cards

Apparently, the suspect was caught making multiple transactions and taking longer than normal.

A woman was arrested at Village@Horizon yesterday, March 6, on the West Rand after she was caught with 46 ID books and 46 South African Social Service Agency (Sassa) cards, the Roodepoort Record reports.

This comes after an undercover intelligence officer of Open Water Advanced Risk Solutions, a forensic investigations company, who was monitoring drug-related activity at the centre. He noticed a woman at the Absa ATM with a suspicious number of cards doing multiple transactions and taking longer than normal.

Police were contacted, and the woman was found to be in possession of the cards, ID books and R13 000 in cash.

Open Water Advance Risk Solutions is also appealing to the public to come forward with any drug-related or other leads for them to investigate. Contact Jan Combrink on 072 237 5537.
