Woman dies while hiking in Pretoria nature reserve

Emergency services members had to carry the body of a female hiker down a hill at the Groenkloof nature reserve this weekend.

The woman reportedly collapsed while doing a 10km hike with her family.

“ER24 paramedics declared her dead after attempts to resuscitate her had failed,” said Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso.

“Firefighters, paramedics, police officers and nature reserve staff worked together to carry her body down the hill.”
