A family of three was ambushed in their home in Glenmore, KZN, this morning in a horrific attack that left one woman dead and two others in critical condition.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, paramedics arrived on the scene, on Hyder Road in Glenmore, just after 03:30.

“Paramedics arrived to find a horrific scene. A family had been attacked inside their house… Paramedics found three patients with multiple stab wounds.

“Immediately, more ambulances and paramedics were dispatched to assist,” says Jamieson.

Once triaged, paramedics found that a woman, believed to be in her 40s, had sustained multiple stab wounds to her body. There was nothing paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene.

“Two men, believed to be a father and son, were found to have multiple stab wounds to their body. Both were in critical condition and required multiple advanced life support techniques to stabilise them on the scene before they were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent care,” says Jamieson.

The events leading up to the attack are unknown, however, SAPS was on the scene and is investigating.
