A man was shot and killed in the early hours of this morning. This shooting incident occurred on Helen Joseph Road (Davenport Road) in Glenwood, Durban.

KZN SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that Umbilo police are investigating a case of murder following the incident.

“It is alleged that three armed men entered a business premises and fatally shot a 50-year-old man,” says Netshiunda.

The suspects fled the scene with stolen property.

“The victim was declared dead at the scene, and the suspects allegedly fled the scene with the victims’ firearms,” adds Netshiunda.

This follows several recent shootings. A man was fatally shot in Greyville on Saturday at 06:00, while seven people were gunned down on Victoria Street on Friday at about 15:30.
