New on the model is revised yet subtle exterior upgrades which enhance the car’s on-road presence with its ‘tougher, bolder and more robust’ exterior design updates. The most notable design update comes in the shape of a redesigned front grille. The now-larger item, which is sited above a new ‘floating’ fore skid plate, is flanked by tapered headlamp clusters, which house LED lighting units, replete with ‘lightsaber-style’ indicators. The rear features LED taillamps of a three-dimensional honeycomb pattern. L-shaped daytime-running lights are also present. In addition, the Magnite has gained a set of new, dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, measuring 16 inches in diameter. The exterior colour palette includes five monotone and six dual-tone colour options.

Hill start assist and TPMS are further included while an Arkamys sound system plays through four speakers and two tweeters.

The powertrain line-up includes a 1l, naturally aspirated three-cylinder unit and a 1l turbocharged engine with the same number of cylinders. The atmospheric three-pot produces 53kW and 96N.m of torque, while the turbo-triple-equipped models are endowed with 74kW and 160N.m.

The naturally aspirated engine is available with a five-speed manual cog swapper or the firm’s EZ-Shift automated manual transmission. The turbocharged derivatives can be had with a five-speed manual gearbox or Nissan’s X-tronic continuously variable transmission.
